Calendar for applicants

Category A Non-European Union students applying for an EM grant:
Application for academic year 2011-12 will reopen on November 2010.
Deadline: 02 January 2011.

Other students:
Application for academic year 2011-12 will reopen on November 2010.
Deadline for "self sponsored" non-EU students and for Category B EU students applying for an EM grant: 30 April 2011.

Results of the selection commission:

- for Category A non-EU applicants to an EM grant: February/March 2011

- for other students:
* "self sponsored" non-EU students: 30 May 2011

* EU students: May/June 2011

Calendar for admitted students (after positive selection decision)

Category A Non-European Union students - Phase 1:

- February 2011 : The Coordinator sends an e-mail of invitation (to study at a given host site), subject to final approval by the European Commission.

- March/April 2011 : The European Commission transmits its final approval to the Coordinator and the latter sends, via mail, a final acceptance letter with a photocopy of the "Certificate on award of Erasmus Mundus Scholarships" established by the Brussels Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, that enable students to start formalities to obtain passports, visas, etc...

- From March to July 2011 : The Coordinator sends, via e-mail and/or mail, annual E.M. scholarship students agreements that have to be returned duly signed, before the beginning of the courses.

- September/October 2011 : Beginning of the courses and payment of the E.M. grant's first instalment, after arrival of the students and opening by them of a European bank account. 

 Other students - Phase 2:

"Self sponsored" non-EU students :

   - from February/March 2011 to the beginning of June 2011 : the Coordinator sends, via e-mail or mail, an official invitation to participate without a grant to the E.M. OpSciTech programme, at a given host site.

   - during June/July 2011 : Erasmus Mundus annual student agreements are sent and must be returned duly signed, as well as the announced tuition fees, to the Coordinator,  before the beginning of the courses (September/October 2011, depending on the host sites).

EU students, with or without grant :

   - from end of June/beginning of July 2011 : sending off of an official e-mail and/or letter of invitation to participate, at a given host site, to the E.M. OpSciTech programme, either with an EM Category B grant, or without grant. A bilateral annual E.M. student agreement will moreover have to be returned to the Coordinator with the payment of the yearly tuition fees, before the beginning of the courses (September/October 2011, depending on the host sites).
